The Titanic sank 111 years ago tonight. (My dad, who was 44 when I was born, was born a few months after the sinking. Random fact 🙂 ). I looked up the Titanic’s time line: the ship hit the iceberg at 11:40 PM April 14th, by the ship's time, which was two hours ahead of the eastern time zone. It sunk at 2:20 AM ship's time on April 15th. According to this site, this photo is the last known photo of the ship on the ocean surface.
